Welcome and a little about the start of my journey....

 Good morning !

If you are reading this you have decided to follow my long hauler journey.   Many years ago I did a blog during our infertility journey.  It really helped me cope, move forward and was great way to share our journey with others. infertility blog.  Since then I have shared that blog with so many struggling with the same thing.  I am hoping that maybe doing this will be similar for myself and others.

My journey started this past March, 2022 (maybe earlier...but save that for another post) when I got COVID.  Some how I avoided it a couple months earlier when I my husband and youngest got it.  If I am honest, I just wanted to "get it and be done with it", have less time off of work between kids being sick and myself.   Be careful what you wish for.....

COVID itself at first was a couple rough days..and then I thought I was laughing...woo hoo... 5 more days off...then it hit me..HARD. I was in bed the rest of the week and barely doing anything...my energy had been zapped.  But I was determined to work my way back like I usually do, after a cold, etc.  Got back to work, ramping my workouts back up(I worked out pretty much daily, weights cardio,etc...all my jam).

Problem was I felt tired..but worked through it, back to work, kids activities, working out....   Then I had a relapse....felt just like i did when I had COVID.  Taking advice from colleagues (fortunately I am a PT in rehab and we have a COVID clinic here), I started and try and pace more, slow down more, not jump back into exercising.  THAT was hard...it's my stress relief...it's my way of coping and my me time.

Unfortunately, I had another relapse a few weeks later.....that was when i really started to wonder if this was going to be a longer thing...when I realized I needed to start paying more attention to my symptoms...

I will end here for this post.....stay tuned for the next....
